Garage Sale x #30 WL Bucket List
One of my favorites traditions of this country are Garage Sales, from late spring to early autumn. I think is probably because of this thing I have for vintage pieces and antiques. With the women of my family, we often go garage sale hunting and find the most curious things. Click here to see a little of it’s history.
So, you might guess my excitement when my cousin Geraldine from Geralogy suggested for us to have a Garage Sale in her house for the weekend. All family members who had something not being used in their houses, occupying space well needed, would be able to dispose of them, have fun all together, and earn some money in the process. How cool is that?!
We set up our tables, racks, put good music and started the “party”.
The kids made the promotion in the streets, calling the customers attention with big banners. They were earning money too, selling lemonades and empanadas. As a price for their effort, I decided to take advantage of the good weather remaining and check off number 30 on WL Bucketlist. I surprised them with a Twister and some paint.
Playing Twister on it’s own is fun, can you imagine playing it with paint? I know that the point is being afraid to fail and get messy, but we wanted more to get messy than actually win. We had a blast!
I had a gross income of US$ 98.75 from selling all of my things. However, if you subtract the 2 empanadas and lemonade I ate and drank, things that I bought from the other tables, and promotional articles, my net income was US$70.00. Pretty good, don’t you think? Better what was to come.
With the money we earned, my cousins and I went out for the night. Edgewater, NJ the stage of our show. We had a few drinks and danced until they ceased to make effect.
It was such a great day, better than what we expected.

Venta de Garaje x # 30 WL Bucket List
Una de mis tradiciones favoritas de este país son las Ventas de Garaje, desde finales de la primavera 
hasta principios del otoño. Supongo que es por la fascinación que me provocan las piezas vintage y antigüedades. Con las mujeres de mi familia, a menudo vamos de caza de ventas de garaje y encontramos las cosas más curiosas. Haga clic aquí para ver un poco de su historia.
Podrán adivinar mi emoción cuando mi prima Geraldine de Geralogy sugirió que hiciéramos una venta de garaje en su casa para el fin de semana. Armamos nuestras mesas, bastidores, pusimos buena música y empezamos la “fiesta”.
Los niños hicieron la promoción en las calles, llamando la atención de los clientes con grandes carteles. Ellos estaban ganando dinero también, vendiendo limonadas y empanadas. Como precio por su esfuerzo, decidí aprovechar el buen clima que nos queda y marque el número 30 en la WL bucketlist. Los sorprendí con un Twister y un poco de pintura.
Jugar Twister por sí mismo es divertido, ¿tTe imaginas jugando con pintura? Sé que el punto es tener miedo a fallar y ensuciarse, pero queríamos más ensuciarnos que ganar. ¡La pasamos de súper bien!
Yo tuve un ingreso bruto de US $ 98.75 con la venta de todas mis cosas. Fue una gran día, mejor de lo que esperábamos.
